Christmas is Kirstie Allsopp’s favourite time of year and this year she’s helping us countdown to Christmas with three glittering guides to ensure it’s your favourite time too.

Episode 1 – Saas-Fee
Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 3 & 8pm ET/Noon & 5pm PT

Christmas is almost here and festive fairy Kirstie Allsopp is back, sprinkling triple helpings of glitter and gold over the most wonderful time of the year. In this year’s three-part series Kirstie brings together the cleverest crafters in the country under one roof and in this first episode promises to help us ‘get ahead’. To make your whole month go with a bang she’ll be taking inspiration from Switzerland where Christmas starts in early December – learning how to make a show- stopping garland, boozy fondue and personalised paper-cut pictures. At home upcycling expert Jay Blades shows us how a bookcase can be transformed into a dolls’ house or castle – a jaw-dropping kids’ Christmas present for next to nothing. Plus we see the return of Kirstie’s Christmas craft competitions. This week sees makers and bakers battle it out for best decorated tree, advent calendar and Christmas cake.

Episode 2 – Vienna
Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 3 & 8pm ET/Noon & 5pm PT

Christmas is just round the corner and it’s time to really set the scene. With The Sound of Music celebrating 50 years of being our perfect Christmas backdrop Kirstie goes to Austria to learn how to make a few of her favourite things including warm woollen mittens, mulled wine and traditional baked tree decorations. Back under the roof of her own winter wonderland she sets the scene at home with dressmaker Chinelo Bally’s Christmas stockings. Kirstie’s also setting the best bakers and makers against each other in three festive competitions: gingerbread houses, Christmas wreaths and Christmas tableaux – which is a riot of balloon art, Lego, needle felted badgers and willow- woven wonderlands.

Episode 3 – Bratislava
Thursday, Dec. 27 at 3 & 8pm ET/Noon & 5pm PT

Christmas is almost here and in the last episode before the main event festive fairy Kirstie Allsopp is back to show us that even the tiniest of last minute makes can have a ginormous impact. In Slovakia there’s a new wave of crafters turning old traditions into fast and funky gifts and decorations. Kirstie finds inspiration there for statement jewellery and discovers a tree-dressing tradition that’s bound to bring a tear to the eye. At home three super stylists battle it out with three dramatically different table settings – will a needle felted reindeer theme have the edge over a the geometric themed table or will a Nordic set up win the prize? As the series culminates at Kirstie’s Christmas party, there’s also a gift-wrapping competition and, after the success of last year’s contest, the Knitted Christmas Jumper competition is back with last year’s winner Russell Sansom back to defend his title.
