Have you ever had those days when you’re sitting at work, behind a nondescript desk, beneath fluorescent lights, listening to office banter bounce off the walls and think to yourself, “there has to be more to life than this?”
In some respects, Leon Logothetis felt this way and instead of swallowing hard and continuing to feel content at an office job he was unhappy with, opted for a new, much more rewarding path.
Inspired by “The Motorcycle Diaries” feature film, Logothetis left behind his gig as a 12-hour-a-day London-based broker in pursuit of making a difference in the world.
Eventually, Logothetis got on his vintage motorbike, Kindness One, and travelled the world. But, this wasn’t just a sightseeing trip packaged into a vapid travel show. Rather, it opted to explore the positives that come from being good to one another.
On “The Kindness Diaries,” Logothetis travels the globe relying solely on the kindness of strangers when it comes to food, shelter, gasoline for his ride, and other such elements one would need to travel practically. As a thank you to those who lend Logothetis a hand, he provids them with “life changing gifts.”
“I have always had a passion for interacting with people. I loved the camaraderie of making new friends and treasured the adventure of travel,” said Logothetis. “This passion prompted me to swap my life as a city broker to pursue my dreams of traveling the world. My nomadic spirit has taken me across the globe to exotic locations like Nepal, Mongolia, Gallup New Mexico and the Galapagos Islands.”
Away from TV, Logothetis has given motivational speeches, written several books and continued along the road of adventurous philanthropy. In many ways, he’s proven that kindness can literally be a movement.
