Sweeney, 41, joined “The Biggest Loser” in its fourth season, replacing Canadian actress and comedian, Caroline Rhea. From 2006-2015, Sweeney hosted more than 200 episodes of the series before giving way to popular trainer, Bob Harper.
“I changed my mind about how I felt about fitness,” said Sweeney of her healthy lifestyle during an interview with TooFab. “Instead of looking at it as the torture of my day, or ‘Oh I have to force myself to go to the gym,’ all of a sudden, there was a moment where I realized how lucky I was to be fit and how lucky I was to go out there and find a workout I actually enjoy doing.”
Aside from “The Biggest Loser,” Sweeney has had a plentiful and busy career as an actress. In 1993, Sweeney joined the cast of “Days of Our Lives” and has since appeared in 1,700+ episodes. After taking a break from the long-running soap opera in 2014, Sweeney announced her return to it earlier this year.
Additionally, Sweeney starred as Hannah Swensen in “Murder, She Baked,” a TV movie franchise that follows the life of a small town baker turned amateur sleuth.
Beyond her starring roles, Sweeney has also been credited with guest appearances in such memorable series as “Webster,” “St. Elsewhere,” “Friends,” “American Dreams” and “Las Vegas.”
