In the first series of 6 episodes of this charming and delectable cooking travelogue, Gino guides us around southern Italy and crafts colourful meals with his home nation’s finest produce, revealing some of the county’s best kept secrets along the way. Over 6 episodes, Gino visits, shows off some area highlights and creates mouth-watering dishes from the local fare on the Amalfi Coast and in Naples, Bari, Rome, Gragnano and Matera.
In the second series, Gino heads north for an Italian summer, to meet the people, experience the culture and of course taste the food of his beautiful home country.
He will take viewers on a magical journey through stunning locations which have intrigued travellers for centuries: enchanting Venice, romantic Florence, picturesque Liguria, timeless Siena and the food lover’s paradise of Emilia-Romagna.
Across six episodes, Gino encounters wonderful characters, experiences authentic Italian traditions and sources the finest local ingredients – while cooking his own dishes along the way.
Born in Torre del Greco, Naples, in southern Italy, Gino inherited his grandfather’s love of cooking and studied at the Luigi de Medici Catering College. He appears regularly on ITV’s This Morning in the UK.
