If you’re an avid viewer of One, then you have more than likely become aware of Deborah Devine and her mission to get our body, minds and spirits in shape. On her hit series “Healing Yoga,” Devine shares a number of gentle yoga practices designed to help us handle various health issues and day-to-day activities.
This weekend, fans and yoga enthusiasts have the opportunity to see Devine live and in-person at Om T.O.’s Fit for Fall! The event, which runs Sunday, September 10 from 9am to 5pm outdoors at Toronto’s Distillery District (55 Mill St.), will see Devine host an “easy and restorative healing yoga practice” that will “calm the mind, ground the body gently [and] energize the heart.” This session runs from 3:20pm to 4:00pm.
“People think of September as the start of the year. Back to work. Back to school. Fit for Fall will energize everyone for all the things they want to accomplish in the coming year,” reads a statement on OMTO.ca. “People from across the GTA can attend throughout the day to take any or all of the specially themed yoga and meditation classes taught by the most popular and dynamic instructors from the top studios in the city, while DJ Chris Trepte weaves a sonic landscape of global beats.”
In all, eight classes will be available throughout the day, sandwiched around what will definitely be a well-earned 40-minute lunch break.
